On the 16th of November, Georgiy Poltavchenko, the governor of the region, discussed the possibility of constricting an industrial park that will produce engines. The government stated that starting 2011 "Klimov" manufacturing unit, situated in the region, is going to be granted a status of combined design and manufacturing unit type "Petersburg Motors". Investments in the mass-production, regardless of the foreign capital, will constitute about 6 billion rubles.

Currently, about 30% of Klimov manufacturing facilities have been transported to a site in Vyborgskiy district, St. Petersburg. Boiler-room, manufacturing building and administrative engineering building have already been constructed.

The industrial park will be placed in operation by May, 2014. According to Alexander Vatagin, "Klimov" CEO, only one building will remain on the older site, and even famous technical museum will be moved.

The land, formerly occupied by the enterprise, will be sold or employed for another investment project. Anyway, the actions will take place through "Rostechnologii", the landowner.
