On the 25th of September French delegation of automotive companies came to Kaluga. Ms. Renata Plume, council of Lille chamber of commerce and industry, was the head of the delegation. The purpose of the visit was to discuss potential collaboration perspectives. French automotive business is rapidly growing in the Kaluga region. Last year's external turnover between France and Kaluga region is estimated at 700 000 000$. Kaluga region is one of the major Russian automotive centers.
Auto cluster development is one of the key strategic trends of economical activity in the region. French delegation visited "Rosva" industrial park, a place where a joint venture of PSA Peugeot Citroen Mitsubishi and Motors Corporation is operating at the moment. In addition, they visited "Vorsino" industrial park, "Detchino" industrial zone, and a regional agritechnical center. "Kaluga-Yug" and "Grabcevo" were the industrial parks that brought this trip to a close.
