image002By the end of the year, the size of the warehouse real estate market in St. Petersburg will increase by two projects -- a logistics complex and a speculative warehouse complex. If both projects are successfully completed, the market will increase by 94,300 sq m.

The new space is of class-A quality. Another warehouse complex from PNK Group was earlier announced for 2012, but construction has not yet begun, meaning that commissioning of the complex will take place next year. The industrial parks segment is also actively developing. Land for logistics and warehouse complexes are ready to be offered to Marienburg, Marino, and Doni-Verevo industrial parks, as well as to others.Demand for warehouse real estate currently surpasses supply, but investors are for now holding out in order to stimulate renters to built-to-suit construction. The largest demand is currently for smaller premises with an area of 700 to 3,000 sq m. Demand for larger warehouse space is formed by manufacturing companies, large retail chains, and construction companies.
