The new law on industrial parks passed in Ukraine determines the organizational and legal principles for creating and operating industrial parks in the country. The law, passed with the intent of increasing the investment attractiveness of Ukraine, improving the investment climate, creating new jobs, stimulating the economic development of the republic, as well as developing infrastructure for the market and industry.

The scope of the law touches relationships arising during the creation, operation, and liquidation of industrial parks on the basis of using land and natural resources by plot owners, as well as on the basis of using integral property complexes for economic activities.

The law from June 21, 2012, comes into power one month after its publication. The necessity for passing a law on the legal regulation of industrial parks matured in Ukraine long ago, especially considering the fact that up to this point Ukrainian law officially recognized the existence of only one industrial park in the country -- Svema.
