RZD Logistics transported 170,000 tons of timber from January to July

Closed wagons were also utilized in transportations. Other than fulfilling transportation orders, RZD Logistics also offers a full range of additional logistics services. The logistics operator is planning to use developed solutions for effectively delivering timber in further work and will continue to develop logistics in this sector. |
During the first 7 months of 2012, RZD Logistics successfully organized the transportation of about 170,00 tons of timber, 60% of which was transported on the Western Siberian and Krasnoyarsk rail roads. Similar amounts were transported in the Privolozhsky, Gorkovsky, Sverdlovsky, and North Caucasus rail roads. The key directions proved to be southern Russian ports and Asian countries (Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbeijan, and Afghanistan). More than 80% of the attracted park is comprised of low-sided wagons.
